Happy Sunday, little vamps!
If you're new here, welcome to my weekly blog! This is the place where I'll be summing up my week in all aspects of my life, not just writing! And if you're a regular visitor to my site, welcome back! :)
Hey, I'm so sorry for the silence and lack of blogs! The last few weeks have been sort of hectic when it comes to my personal/family life, but I'm happy to announce that I'm back into my writing/editing schedule for my current WIP, the sequel everyone's just dying to read! At least I hope that's the case.. anyway! I'm doing today's blog a little earlier than usual because I have so much I want to talk about, and I don't have much time to do it!
First off, my editing! What everyone who reads my blog actually cares about- Editing, or more specifically, REWRITING, is going quite well! I'm editing/rewriting about a chapter every other day and of course some chapters are easier than others. I spoke to Inkitt recently about my shaky deadline, and it's been decided that I won't have a deadline for The Wolfsbane Ruby! Which both excites and terrifies me.. I mean, I'm still motivated to finish polishing the manuscript ASAP, but it does actually relieve some of my stress from the last 2-3 months of constantly extending a deadline I eventually knew I wouldn't meet. So yeah! The deadline is gone, but I still plan to finish editing/rewriting EASILY before the end of the year! In fact, if my schedule works out right, I'll likely be done with the first edited draft by the end of September! So The Wolfsbane Ruby might be released in either late October or early November, but I still make no promises! I still have to work with Inkitt on the actual release date, finalize a cover, yada yada yada. I'll, of course, keep you guys up to date with all of that, so no worries. At least, I'll say as much as I can...
On a non-writing note, Artfight is nearly over, but I'm overjoyed by all of the art I've done (and received). I think I might even have a consistent art style now- which is definitely unexpected! I'll most likely be sharing all of the art I've gotten through this event for the next blog. Mainly because the event is still happening and also because I have a much bigger announcement to share next up!
Before I end on a good note with this surprisingly positive Sunday blog, I didn't have much personal problems this past week in particular (save for yesterday morning). Maybe I'm getting used to the stress and anxiety, but I seriously hope not. As long as I have my characters to write/talk about, I'm sure I'll be fine.
Onto the big BIG announcement! The other day, I discovered Fivver, which is a site where you can pay people to make you things? If that makes sense? Anyway! The reason I bring this up is because I had a user make a freaking book trailer for The Blood Diamond! Yes! Hell Yes!
Said trailer will be on YouTube soon enough, and I'm already planning to share it on all of my social media platforms! In fact, it's already on THIS HERE website! :D
Check it out:
Alright, this blog has gone on for a long time now; I think I've said all I needed to say~ If you've read up to this point (and checked out the trailer), thank you so much <3 I really do appreciate it!
I'll see you all next Sunday, little vamps!
